The roar of a Harley Davidson usually means that Roger Allen, centre manager of St Ann’s in Harrow, has arrived at another shopping centre conference.
Roger likes nothing more than riding his Harley all day long – literally. He's a member of the Iron Butt Association of America, which specialises in certifying long distance timed motorcycle rides, and a year ago he completed 1,000 miles in 24 hours for charity.
Now he’s beaten even that, becoming the first Brit to complete the coveted Bunburner Gold - an amazing 1,500 miles in only 24 hours, raising £2,000 for charity.
The Iron Butts have now asked him run a ride from Lands End to John O’Groats in under 24 hours.
