Series of openings at intu Bromley
Shopping centre owner intu’s long term strategy to attract new visitors to London’s largest borough is continuing with four more vibrant retailers forming part of intu Bromley’s revitalised retail and leisure offer.
British lifestyle brand Joules has taken 1,754 sq ft, worldwide holiday company Kuoni 1,528 sq ft and American footwear company Skechers 2,475 sq ft while fashion accessories retailer Lovisa has taken 656 sq ft for only its second UK store. The openings come ahead of the completion of intu Bromley’s new alfresco dining scheme opening in July.
Last year intu Bromley underwent an extensive refurbishment and started construction work on a new restaurant expansion overlooking Queens Garden. A number of aspirational brands have since signed up for space, taking advantage of the centre’s annual footfall of 18 million and prosperous customer base, with 90 per cent of visitors drawn from the most affluent ABC1 socio-economic group across London and Kent.
Rebecca Ryman, regional director of intu, said: “We’re investing heavily in Bromley with our recent mall refurbishment and new restaurant expansion and this is clearly paying off with a number of exciting and high profile retailers selecting our centre as the right location to attract affluent shoppers from central London and the south east.”
