Landlord Hines has signed two new brands for the Centre in Livingston, Scotland.
American fast food restaurant franchise Subway and health and beauty store Bodycare have opened new units at The Centre, which Hines acquired during December 2014, in conjunction with clients of HSBC Private Bank advised by HSBC Alternative Investments. The two join other recent arrivals Footlocker, Ed’s Diner and Eurochange.
Subway has signed a 10-year lease, while Bodycare has relocated from Phase I to Phase II of the centre, having also agreed a 10-year lease.
The Centre is Scotland’s second largest covered shopping centre, comprising more than 1m sq ft, and is home to over 160 retailers, including Primark, Debenhams and M&S.
Sharon Bloodworth, director of shopping centre asset management for Hines UK, said: “Subway will add to the broad range of retailers trading from the Centre and bolster our grab and go food offer. Bodycare has entirely refitted its new unit adding a fully glazed shopfront which supports our focus on upgrading the quality of shopfits throughout the centre.”
Agents Eric Young & Co and Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of Hines while CKD Galbraith acted for Subway and Pinkus & Co acted for Bodycare.
