Freeport celebrates twentieth year with branded tram

Freeport Fleetwood’s latest marketing initiative sees it launch its second fully wrapped tram. 

Running along the Blackpool-Fleetwood Ferry line, the tram is completely wrapped in the Freeport Fleetwood advert which includes traditional seaside imagery including seagulls and buckets and spades. The £45,000 investment in the campaign, designed to raise awareness of the Outlet Centre and its twentieth birthday celebrations, is set to last for 12 months. 

Customers using the tram are invited to take a picture of themselves in the ‘peep board’ in the centre of the tram which will see them riding a seagull or sat in the #FFis20 bucket. All pictures uploaded to the centre’s Facebook page or shared on Twitter using the hashtag #FFis20 will be entered into a draw which will be drawn on the last day of August to win a £100 voucher to spend at Freeport Fleetwood.

Centre manager, John Magee, said: “The tram is the only completely branded ‘wrapped’ one to grace the local network and we’re looking forward to it driving our summer marketing campaign. It will help increase awareness of Freeport Fleetwood as a destination location to have a great day out shopping, and of our important twentieth year in business, on a route which delivers shoppers right to our front door. The creative will really capture people’s attention and we’re offering our customers the chance to win a £100 worth of shopping vouchers for the most creative picture set in the peep board.”
