Bookings for promotional space continued on an upward trend according to the latest Vitality Index from SpaceandPeople.
SpaceandPeople found bookings for local promotions have been high during October, particularly with local car dealerships and customer acquisition companies. In terms of retail, winter accessories have been popular, as well as giftware in the lead up to Christmas.
There has also been a strong increase in the number of bookings in the Health & Beauty sector for experiential marketing roadshows.
Top Brand Experience Activity
Sony- Sony introduced the new Xperia Z1, its new waterproof smartphone, by visiting shopping centres throughout the UK including Cabot Circus. The promotion included a large water tank with divers taking pictures of onlookers from inside the tank.
Tefal – Tefal toured the UK stopping off at nine of the UK’s largest shopping malls, including Manchester Arndale and White Rose, over a three-week period. Tefal staged a series of live demos and taste tests to drive footfall and sales to local stockists as well as distributing consumer money-off coupons.
IKEA – IKEA’s new campaign has been encouraging parents to ‘Bring the Family Together’ by suggesting ways in which families can enjoy special moments in the home using the things they have around them to create a memory. The roadshow visited multiple shopping centres including The Galleries in Washington and Trinity Leeds, where families could enjoy a range of activities such as seed potting, arts and crafts, story-telling and giggle yoga. There was also a team of children’s entertainers on hand to run the activities and encourage families to join in.
