Last letting at The Loom

Salmon Harvester and LaSalle Investment Management have completed the letting of their new retail and leisure park, The Loom, in Leigh, near Manchester

Nando’s has signed as the final tenant atthe scheme,taking a 3,400-sq ft unit on a 20- year lease at £20 per sq ft.

The Nando’s deal marks the successful completion of a major regeneration project for the town of Leigh which saw the £50m, 150,000-sq ft scheme built on the 14-acre site of a redundant radiator factory.

The completed line-up includes a seven-screen Cineworld multiplex cinema, 120,000-sq ft Tesco Extra and complementary restaurants including The Real China and Frankie and Benny’s in addition to the new Nando’s unit.

Doug Stewart, chief executive of developer Salmon Harvester said: “We are thrilled to have successfully completed the line-up at The Loom. The scheme brings a new leisure offer to the town, a major food retail store as well as much needed new catering options. Since its opening in November The Loom has already weaved its magic on locals and with this final signing will continue to do so creating both a vibrant day and evening destination for local shoppers and leisure customers.”
