Two new signings at Charter Walk

Two existing retailers have committing to new leases at Charter Walk in Burnley, with one doubling the size of its unit.
JD Sports will relocate from its current unit to the former HMV unit. At nearly 4,000 sq ft, JD Sports has doubled the amount of space it occupies at Charter Walk, signing a new 10-year lease. This larger shop will allow JD to expand its range of fashion goods on offer and is expected to be open in March.
In addition, local stalwart HW Oddie Limited, which trades as Oddie’s Bakery has signed a new lease to remain in its existing premises.
Pat Keenan of Keenan & Co, letting agents for Charter Walk, said: “We are delighted that these much-loved retailers have committed to new leases at Charter Walk. These new lettings demonstrate the strength of Burnley’s retail offer and also highlight the confidence that national retailers, such as JD Sports, have in Burnley as a retail destination. We are in talks with various national retailers to occupy JD Sports' previous unit on The Mall and expect to make further announcements in relation to new lettings throughout the shopping centre soon.”
