Digital love story at Manchester Arndale
Published: 03 February, 2012
Manchester Arndale is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a Love Letter application on its Facebook page, allowing people to share their messages with the wider world, as well as with someone special.
Visitors to the centre’s Facebook page can choose to submit a message to their loved one which once approved, will be displayed for all to see throughout February with the best being selected to roll continuously across the in-centre plasma screens.
All those who enter a message will be also in with a chance to win a romantic getaway experience to an elegant UK hotel, which includes a gift on arrival. A separate Valentine’s giveaway competition is also featuring on Twitter with three ‘P.S I Love You’ box sets from LUSH up for grabs.
Sue Boor, associate director, shopping centre marketing at PRUPIM said: “This digital campaign is a fun way for us to help spread the love this Valentine’s and with it being a Leap Year this year, we felt it also offers our core female customers a quirky way to pop the question if they so desire! The love story focuses on our Facebook page but will be promoted via Twitter and on our website too. In the fast-paced world of mobile technology it made sense to capture this trend so at a click of a button our fans can declare their love on a grand scale.”
