Park Mark award for Clock Towers

Published:  02 February, 2012

A Rugby shopping centre has received Park Mark status following an independent audit by the British Parking Association and a local Police Officer specialising in measures to help crime reduction.

Clock Towers shopping centre, which is managed by DTZ, was audited on areas including vehicle and pedestrian access, lighting facilities, CCTV, cleaning and crime statistics.

Andrew King, associate director from DTZ said: “By attaining this award we can assure customers and visitors to Clock Towers that the quality and safety of where they park their vehicles is of great importance to us and that we recognise the parking environment is a vital part of the shopping experience. The centre manager, Tony Spencer and the management team are continually striving to improve the car park and the award is a reflection of their hard work and customer friendly approach.”

The Park Mark Safer Parking Scheme is an initiative of the Associations of Chief Police Officers and is aimed at reducing both crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities.
