Three new independents at Halton Lea

Published:  21 December, 2011

Halton Lea shopping centre in Runcorn has welcomed three new independent tenants this month.

The centre, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2012, has attracted ladies fashion retailer Koko White, foot spa Footalicious and accessories store Terry’s Boutique.

Terry McElory, owner of Terry’s Boutique, said: “We started out as a pop up and were impressed with the high footfall numbers at the centre, so have moved into a permanent unit. In our first couple of weeks of trading, we’ve met our forecasts and are confident of good Christmas results.”

Halton Lea's deputy manager, Lindsay Bellis, added: “We’re delighted to have attracted three more independent retailers, it’s a great addition to our overall retail mix which includes a combination of household names and brands unique to our region.”

The centre attracts an average of 150,000 shoppers a week. An improvement programme for the car parks is currently underway and further developments are planned for 2012.
