Dune opens at Victoria Square

Victoria Square, Belfast, has welcomed footwear and accessories retailer, Dune to its extensive portfolio of over 70 stores.
The new Dune store, located on the Upper Ground Floor at the Cornmarket entrance to Victoria Square is the largest of the brand’s retail outlets in Northern Ireland.
Driven by an ethos of offering ‘affordable luxury,’ Dune has grown, since its establishment in 1992, to become one of the UK’s leading footwear and accessories retailers. The bright, spacious Victoria Square store features the largest collection of Dune footwear for men and women anywhere in Northern Ireland.
Welcoming Dune to Victoria Square, centre manager Hugh Black said: “Victoria Square hosts a diverse range of leading brands and the opening of the stylish new Dune store will greatly add to our exciting fashion offering. We are thrilled that Dune has chosen Victoria Square as the location for their largest standalone store in Northern Ireland.
“Victoria Square’s 2011 performance to date shows encouraging increases in both levels of footfall and sales on last year. As we approach Christmas, we are optimistic that Victoria Square and its retailers will trade well this year; providing the weather holds and we don’t have a repeat of the snow experienced last year, we expect our upward trend for both footfall and sales to continue in December.”
Dune is the latest in a number of big brands to launch in Victoria Square in 2011, with fashion retailers Mexx, USC, Bank, Guess, Mimco, watch retailer Swatch and restaurant Wagamama all opening within the scheme in the past twelve months.
