Hawkin's Bazaar signs in Bullring and Stratford

Gifts and toys retailer secures deals in two of the largest UK shopping centres, taking permanent store numbers in the UK to 65

Earlier this year the retailer announced its strategy to find 60 temporary stores for the busy Christmas trading period where all are now up and trading. This year, it has already successfully secured permanent sites in Yeovil, Fareham and Preston.

Williams Gunter Hardwick acted on behalf of the retailer. In the Bullring, the 1,590-sq ft unit immediately adjoins Disney and is opposite The Entertainer. In Stratford, the 1,500-sq ft unit on the lower ground floor unit is next to Lego and close to Mothercare and Build A Bear.

Hawkin’s Bazaar CEO, Lyle Finlay, said; “We have tried to secure space at Bullring for a number of years but our ability to up our game on rental levels this year has finally enabled us to gain representation here. Stratford was more last more of a last minute decision but with the John Lewis anchor, it’s excellent communications and the forthcoming Olympic games, from a visit a few months back, it was clear that this scheme was for us”.
