David Allinson to move from Golden Square in Warrington

Manchester Arndale owners PruPIM and Capital Shopping Centres have appointed a new centre director to join Manchester Arndale in time for the busiest period of the retail year.

David Allinson will take the reins at the UK’s largest inner-city shopping centre at the start of December to replace Glen Barkworth, who has stepped down after 11 years’ service.

Allinson has over 18 years’ commercial and retail experience within the leisure, airport and shopping centre industries and is currently the general manager of the Golden Square centre in Warrington.

He said: “I am very much looking forward to joining the Manchester Arndale team and working with the stakeholders and the community in Manchester. Manchester Arndale is a very successful shopping centre and I am committed to moving it from strength to strength.”

CBRE's Sue Anderson-Brown is currently acting interim centre manager at Manchester Arndale.
