Capital & Regional signs Apple in Lincoln

Waterside Shopping Centre has secured the first Apple franchise for Lincoln
Operated by Stormfront Retail which currently operates 14 Apple outlets across the UK, the 3,360- sq ft store is due to open on 17 December. The letting is part of Capital & Regional's plan to reposition the tenant mix and profile of the centre within Lincoln city centre.
Capital & Regional purchased the 120,000-sq ft Waterside Shopping Centre from clients of PruPIM in February 2011. The scheme is currently anchored by names such as Primark, New Look and Topshop which recently re-fitted its 7,800-sq ft store.
Andrew Haughey, retail asset manager at Capital & Regional, said: “This letting, alongside a line of other new names which have recently taken space in the centre, demonstrates how we are successfully applying our retail management skills to reposition The Waterside Shopping Centre as the dominant fashion and lifestyle destination within Lincoln.”
