Hush Puppies is to open its first store in Wales in St David’s, Cardiff
The footwear brand, which launched in the US in 1958, and this month opened its first store on London’s Regent Street, will open a 1,772-sq ft store on the upper grand arcade at unit 29 which is opposite Monsoon and Gilly Hicks. The new store is due to open 1 December.
The Hush Puppies deal comes hot on the heels of the opening of fellow footwear brand Hotter Shoes which also opened its first store in Wales in St David’s last month.
Joanne Skilton, retail and leasing director of Capital Shopping Centres, on behalf of St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Capital Shopping Centres and Land Securities, said: “St David’s continues to appeal to retailers as their first choice location for those wanting to launch in Wales. Hush Puppies further complements our footwear offer.”
St David’s was represented by Lunson Mitchenall, Cushman & Wakefield and EJ Hales. Jones Lang LaSalle advised Wolverine Europe Retail which trades as Hush Puppies.
