Arcadia opens Lakeside flagship

Arcadia has opening of a new top ten flagship megastore for Topshop and Topman at Lakeside, Thurrock
The retail group has moved into a newly created 25,000-sq ft store, situated on the upper level close to Zara. It will showcase the key collections in clothing, accessories and gifts from both brands. It will also include Topshop stylists offering a fast-track to the fitting rooms and styling advice, and the newly launched Grooming Collection from Topman.
The fashion brand openings follow the creation of a new flagship store for sister Arcadia brand Bhs which opened its latest storefit within Lakeside in September. Fellow fashion brand Miss Selfridge has also just completed a store refit at the centre.
The new Arcadia stores are part of an £8m asset management initiative at Lakeside which has seen the amalgamation of the former Topshop and Topman stores and the formation of a new roofbox, to create a 35,000-sq ft, three level store for US fashion giant Forever 21 which will open its own flagship store late next year.
Jonathan Ainsley, asset management director (south) for CSC, said: “We have seen a number of retailers upsizing in Lakeside this year but the Arcadia expansion is the largest yet and allows us to showcase the latest shopfits and products for the three largest Arcadia brands."
