The owners of centre, Capital Shopping Centres has submitted a planning application to create five new restaurants at The Glades in Bromley

The new restaurants willl be situated on a terrace overlooking the historic Queen’s Garden. The submission follows extensive consultation with local residents and shoppers, 68 per cent of whom gave their backing to plans at a recent public exhibition.

Centre manager, Howard Oldstein, said: “Our shoppers are telling us that they want a place to come and eat with their families. The terrace of restaurants by Queen’s Garden will create a brand new place for families to enjoy, creating jobs and supporting growth in the local economy in the process.

“We’ve been working closely with local experts and our partners at Bromley Council to ensure our designs complement the surrounding area and meet the needs of local residents. We were delighted that the results of our public consultation show so many local residents are in favour of our proposals.”
