3D body scanner returns to Manchester Arndale

Published:  08 November, 2011

Following on from the success of the Denim Surgery in June, Manchester Arndale is bringing back the 3D body scanner for the ‘Get the Party Started’ event.

The event runs from 4-6 November and aims to help women find out their true body shape and what style of party dress will enhance their natural curves. The 3D body scanner takes measurements of the entire body using digital white light from 16 angles to create a unique graphic image of the body in just six seconds.

Visitors who book a free appointment will also be in with the chance to one of 22 party outfits.

Stylists will be on hand to advise women on the best dresses to suit their body shape, taking them through a selection of clothes from the centre’s participating retailers. Hair by Trade Secret, make-up artists from No7 at Boots and perfume experts from Lush will also be on-hand to give professional tips on how to create a top-to-toe look.

Manchester Arndale’s style advisor, Debs Hatfield, said: “The ‘Get The Party Started’ event has everything in one place - fashion tips, trade secrets and trend advice to suit everyone’s shape, style and pocket for the festive season.

“We know from past experience how popular the 3D body scanner is so we wanted to bring it back and add a little twist, which is the party-dress theme, as this is so important every year in the run up to Christmas and New Year.”
