All-star line-up at Meadowhall Christmas concert

X Factor 2010 winner Matt Cardle is headlining Meadowhall and Hallam FM’s outdoor Christmas Light Switch-On Charity Concert on Thursday 3 November.

Cardle, who topped the charts last Christmas with debut single When We Collide, will headline the bill of stars, including MOBO award-winner Tinchy Stryder, pop dance outfit SixD and Bajan four-piece Cover Drive.

The concert, hosted by Hallam FM’s breakfast show presenter Big John, will also see local hip hop theatre company Rationale take to the stage with their energetic choreography, impressive dance styles and exciting soundtracks.

Centre director, Darren Pearce, said: “We are proud to provide great entertainment at our Light Switch-On concerts, so it’s terrific to team up with Hallam FM and have such a popular artist as Matt Cardle to headline our annual event. We’ve got a brilliant line-up again this year, and we’re sure people will have a great evening watching the entertainment and helping us to raise money for Helen’s Trust and Cash For Kids in the process.”
