New opening date for Boxpark

Published:  18 October, 2011

Boxpark, the much-delayed pop-up mall in Lpondon's Shoreditch, is now scheduled to open in December 2011

Boxpark, built from a collection of shipping containers on a Hammerson-owned site in Shoreditch, east London, was originally due to open in Summer 2011 before the date was put back to the autumn. Now the developer says it will open on an unspecified date in December.

But despite the delays Boxpark has signed a strong mix of sport and fashion brands, along with a number of independent retailers. There has been a deliberate policy of excluding mainstream high street brands.

Tenants include the first UK stores for Abuze, Boxfresh, House of Billiam, Luke, One True Saxon, OnePiece, Palladium, Smile. In addition there will be new concept stores from Amnesty, Art Against Knives, Bukowski, David Mayar Naman and Oakley.
