Eleven new tenants at Clydebank shopping centre

Eleven new tenant agreements have been signed at Clydebank Shopping Centre, which now makes the scheme 95 per cent let

The latest spate of lettings include two major lets to JD Sports and Bank which have taken 5,752 and 5,695 sq ft units over ten years

Additional high street names, Costa Coffee, Happitt and Cash Generator have secured units within the 600,000-sq ft retail and leisure destination which is just eight miles west of Glasgow’s city centre.
Costa Coffee, a franchise operated by Coffee Pots, has taken a 2,290-sq ft unit over ten years; Happitt has a three year lease for 2,509 sq ft and Cash Generator will occupy 2,135 sq ft under a ten-year agreement.

And maintaining the appealing mix of high street names and local independents in Clydebank shopping centre, six further lets have been agreed: to restaurant and table service café operator Sutherlands Café which has taken 3,055 sq ft under a ten year lease; traditional butcher and fishmonger ‘Top of the Hill Butchers’ which has taken 768 sq ft for five years; Beauty salon ‘Glamourous’ which has taken 546 sq ft forten years; Photographer ‘Cheeky Rascals’ which has taken 534 sq ft for ten years; Clydebank Babywear which has taken 582 sq ft for two years and a newsagent which has taken 406 sq ft for two years.

Clydebank Shopping Centre is owned by a joint venture between Helical Bar and Prime Commercial Properties Management.

Bianca Vlcek, associate director at Prime Commercial Properties said: “Securing these new tenants for a major centre that already hosts top names like Primark, Dorothy Perkins and New Look is a strong indicator of the retail appeal and opportunity.”

Advisers on all of the deals for Clydebank Shopping Centre were Jones Lang LaSalle and Colliers International in Scotland.
