Boux Avenue and The Entertainer debut at Metrocentre
Published: 06 October, 2011
Lingerie retailer Boux Avenue and toy retailer The Entertainer are to open their first stores in the north east at Metrocentre.
Boux Avenue, the lingerie chain launched by Theo Paphitis in March, will open a 2,500 sq ft store in the lower green mall adjacent to Goldsmiths and H Samuel and close to Ann Summers, Accessorize and La Senza. The store, which will open in the Autumn, follows the opening of the first six stores, three of which are in CSC centres.
Meanwhile The Entertainer will open a 6,000 sq ft store, kickstarting the retailer’s extension into the region, in the upper blue mall adjacent to Sports Direct. The blue mall is anchored by TK Maxx/Homesense, which opened in 2010, and the new 60,000 sq ft Primark which is due to open later this year. The Entertainer store will open ready for the Christmas season.
Martin Breeden, director of asset management (north) CSC London said: “As it celebrates its 25th year Metrocentre continues to attract high profile names. The Entertainer is a great brand to bring into the centre whilst the opening of the seventh Boux Avenue store within Metrocentre means that now more than half of the Boux Avenue chain is in CSC centres.”
Lunson Mitchenall and Sanderson Weatherall represented CSC Metrocentre. The Entertainer was represented by Reid Rose Gregory and Boux Avenue was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle.
