Land Securities raises £10,000 for Everyman

On Tuesday night, Land Securities hosted its annual party as part of the BCSC conference & exhibition in Manchester, raising £10,000 for prostate and testicular cancer charity Everyman.  

Over 450 leading figures from the commercial property industry gathered at Bijou, Manchester, including Richard Akers, managing director of Land Securities Retail and this year’s president of the BCSC. 

Akers said: “The Land Securities’ party provides an opportunity to say thank you to our customers, service providers, and is especially rewarding as we used the event to support such a worthwhile charity. This is a great amount of money to raise.”

He thanked House of Fraser, John Lewis, Arcadia, H&M, Boots, Wagamama, Debenhams and Sainsbury's for their donations towards the auction.
