Spate of lettings at St David’s

Published:  21 September, 2011

St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff, owned by a joint venture between Capital Shopping Centres and Land Securities, is set to welcome The North Face, Vans and catering outlets Auntie Anne’s and BB’s.

The North Face will open a 3,500 sq ft store in October in the upper Grand Arcade close to Calvin Klein Underwear and Hollister and opposite Gap. Vans will complete the lettings on The Hayes by opening a 2,314 sq ft store between Hugo Boss and All Saints at the end of this month.

Joanne Skilton, retail and leasing director of CSC London, said: “Both retailers have excellent reputations and loyal fan bases and we are confident they will be a success with our customers. They have high quality ranges and complement the already strong portfolio of designer stores in St David’s. Wales boasts an incredible landscape for outdoor activities so I’m sure the two lifestyle stores will prove popular.”

Auntie Anne’s – the American pretzel specialist will open a 235 sq ft unit on the upper level Grand Arcade adjacent to Pumpkin Patch and JoJo Maman Bebe.

Meanwhile BB’s, the Australian muffin and coffee specialist, is to open its first store in Wales with a 3,651 sq ft shop near to The Perfume Shop and Foot Asylum.

On top of the recent spate of lettings, The Perfume Shop is to open its third store at the centre.

The retailer will open an additional 588 sq ft store in the upper level Grand Arcade of the centre in November.

Cushman & Wakefield, Lunson Mitchenall and EJ Hales acted for St David’s, Capital Retail represented North Face and Vans, Briant Champion Long represented Auntie Anne’s, GCW acted for BB’s and Michael Peddar & Co represented The Perfume Shop.
