Rawls rebrands as part of 21st anniversary

Retail design specialist Rawls celebrated 21 years last week.

The company, which has clients including Hammerson, Capital Shopping Centres, Land Securities and McArthurGlen, is rebranding to mark the 21st year milestone, with a new strapline “it’s only solved by design”.

Managing director, Adam Rawls, said: “We don’t do the same as we did 21 years ago. We are constantly reinventing ourselves and to find new ways to be relevant to what our retailers and clients need. We’re forever changing and it’s about being ahead of trend. That’s what we do, and people know we bring a wealth of industry knowledge with us.”

Originally established in 1991, Rawls is a retail design business helping developers, investors, retailers and architects add value to their assets. 

A project the company is particularly proud of is the recently completed One New Change shopping scheme by Land Securities - next to St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Adam Rawls said: “We supported and guided all of the retail within that building on behalf of the client. It’s a tremendously iconic building, yet we had to persuade tenants to keep all windows as open as possible to the customer, and not turn their backs on St. Paul’s cathedral. This location is unique and we felt that wherever possible, units should capitalise on the views.”

Other recent work includes The Rock, Bury, and The Avenue at Spinningfields in Manchester.
