The Ridings shopping centre in Wakefield, is ‘keeping it real’ with a brand new creative campaign.
Billboards, media advertising and posters around the city feature real life shop assistants and managers from many of the centre’s retail outlets.
High street names BHS, M&S, Primark, TK Maxx and Boots have all shown their support and given the campaign their backing. Staff from a range of other stores including Accessorize, Morrisons, Holland and Barrett and Perfect Home also feature on the new website, launched to complement the new creative campaign.
The Ridings marketing manager, Victoria Clapham said: “We went through a few ideas before deciding that the most obvious way to get our message across was to use real people, those who have a genuine passion and commitment for Wakefield and The Ridings shopping centre.
“One of the centre’s strengths is the fantastic, welcoming staff we have here and it goes without saying that everyone involved did a fantastic job. We want to reinforce our position at the heart of Wakefield and these are the people who help us to do just that. We would like to thank everyone for their help and support.”
Lynda Bateman, from Boots who features in the campaign adds: “I couldn’t believe it when I was asked to appear in the advert. Having worked in the centre since the very beginning, The Ridings is like a genuine second home to me. It’s great real people are being used in such a big campaign.”
