Clarendon Square bucks the trend

Published:  06 September, 2011

A spate of lettings have been completed at Clarendon Square shopping centre culminating with Phones 4 U signing a 10 year lease last week. This follows lettings to national retailers Pound Bakery and National Cash Advance which opened last month.

It has been a busy period for Centre Manager, Liam Mooney who has also overseen the openings of new stores for Grainger Games, Games Zone, Shoe Repairs & Key Cutting and the opening of a new larger Greggs store in recent months.

Mooney said: ‘’Our letting agents Tushingham Moore and CBRE have been very active in 2011 which has in turn meant I have been kept very busy monitoring our new tenant fit outs and store openings.  As a result of these lettings we now only have two empty shop units and one of these is currently under offer.’’

Bon Marche, British Heart Foundation, Jack Fulton and several local traders including Salphones, Sweet Treats and Lipstick have all recently renewed their leases committing their futures to Hyde and to the Clarendon Square shopping centre.
