Whole Foods Market to take first UK site outside London
The world’s leading natural and organic foods supermarket, Whole Foods Market, is to open at its firstUKsite outside ofLondonatGallagherRetailPark,Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, in autumn 2012. The park is owned by Hercules Unit Trust, advised byBritishLandand managed by Schroders.
The 27,000-sq ft Whole Foods Market will include a designated outdoor seating area for a cafe, a ‘scratch’ bakery and a full service butchery counter. Whole Foods Market’s natural remedies department, Whole Body, will also feature.
Jeff Turnas, Whole Foods Market’sUKregional president, said: “It’s our intention to bring the best quality foods to shoppers throughout theUKand this store, our seventh to open in theUKand our first English store outside ofLondon, will help us achieve that.”
