Four new appointments at DTZ

DTZ in Bristol has added four new members of staff to its 15 strong property management team.

Gareth Watkinson and John Tyas both join as surveyors in the retail and portfolio active management teams respectively, whilst Tom Alcock joins as graduate surveyor and Christopher McCahill as property administrator in the portfolio active management team.

Joining DTZ from Barnsley MBC asset management where he assisted in the disposal of a number of local sites, Gareth Watkinson has over six years experience and gained his APC qualification at CBRE in Leeds. He will be responsible for managing a number of shopping centres and retail parks on behalf of the Rank Group Gaming Division including, Leisureworld in Southampton, Freemans Park in Leicester and Folly Hall Mills in Huddersfield.

John Tyas joins DTZ from Swindon Borough Council where he was an assistant valuer and brings five years property experience to the team. He will be responsible for all aspects of property management for corporate and investor clients including, Pizza Hut, KFC, Strathclyde Pension Fund.

Tom Alcock will be joining DTZ’s graduate programme in September and is currently working as an estates technician in the corporate real estate management team covering the Crown Prosecution Service and KFC national portfolio. He graduated last year from the University of Reading with a BSc in Land Management.

Christopher McCahill previously worked for Learn Direct and Lloyds TSB as a senior pensions officer and will be providing administrative support to the portfolio active management which includes liaising with Pizza Hut and third parties with relation to service charge information.
