LEGO flagship to open at Liverpool ONE

The LEGO Group is to open a 3,933 sq ft flagship store at Liverpool ONE in mid-August.
The new LEGO brand store will join other well-known retailers including Disney and The Entertainer, in creating a critical mass of premium children’s retailers. The toys and games sector has been a particularly strong performer at Liverpool ONE, recording a 15 per cent increase in sales in the last 12 months.
Miles Dunnett, head of asset management at Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: “Liverpool ONE’s success is driven by our continuous search for innovative and exciting brands. We are very pleased, therefore, to welcome the LEGO Group. The brand is a perfect addition to the retail mix on South John Street and reinforces Liverpool ONE’s role as the region’s first choice day-out destination.”

The news follows the successful opening of six new brands in the last few months. Hobbs and Calvin Klein have opened 4,300 sq ft and 3,459 sq ft stores respectively, North Face opened a 4,226 sq ft store, and Vans opened a 2,510 sq ft regional flagship. Other recent additions include a 3,056 sq ft sq ft Jack and Jones and a 1,821 sq ft Eat.
