The Entertainer flagship to open at Bluewater

The Entertainer, the UKs largest independent toys retailer, is to open a 5,600 sq ft store at Bluewater.
The Entertainer is to create its new flagship for the South East region on the upper level of the Rose Gallery, overlooking The Wintergarden. The new store will open in October and will complement its toys, games and gifts with a range of activities to enhance the guest experience, including themed activity days, demonstrations and competitions.
Guy Thomas, head of retail leasing at Lend Lease, said: “Understanding and meeting guests’ needs is a key aspect of our approach to managing Bluewater and evolving its mix. Guest feedback indicated that toys and games was an area in which we could broaden our offer, and there is nobody better to do that than The Entertainer.
The Entertainer is the 17th brand to have committed to Bluewater so far this year, and follows the recent announcements that Ted Baker and Karen Millen are to upsize, and that WH Smith is relocating to allow Forever 21 to open a 24,000 sq ft store in spring 2012.
DTZ and CBRE acted for Bluewater. Reid Rose Gregory acted for The Entertainer.
