Planning permission granted for Metrocentre’s Metroasis

Published:  06 July, 2011

CSC has been granted planning permission for its 15,000-sq ft MetrOasis catering development

The MetrOasis will sit between MetroCentre and the adjacent retail park and will include a mix of restaurants in up to five units. The redevelopment of the former Esso petrol station is already 75 per cent under offer. And CSC said MetrOasis will also improve connectivity between Metro Retail Park and the centre.

Martin Ellis, construction director for CSC, said: “The development will strengthen the catering offer as well as improve pedestrian links between Metrocentre and Metro Retail Park and is a key part of our continued evolution of the centre.”

Work is expected to begin onsite in November with completion due for autumn 2012.
