‘Light Bite’ cooks up a feast for shoppers

Last Saturday The Light helped to celebrate Leeds Loves Food, by treating shoppers to a free food and drink fair in its’ Courtyard.
Light Bite visitors were treated to a full day of free cookery demonstrations, cocktail making, competitions, give-aways and even a slice of The Light’s giant 10th birthday cake.
The cookery demonstrations kicked off with eggs Benedict prepared by head chief of The Lounge Restaurant at the Radisson Blu, David Andrews. Coffee was served for elevenses, followed by a lunch-time pasta master class courtesy of The Lights newest restaurant Zizzi’s. The Italian restaurant also hosted a pizza workshop in the afternoon.
Tiger Tiger livened up the afternoon by treating visitors to a variety of samples from their lunchtime bite menu washed down with a cocktail master class.
The Light’s giant birthday cake was dished out to visitors during Barburritos’ Burrito eating competition, which saw four audience members race to eat two each burritos in the fastest time.
Marketing manager, Stephanie James said: “Light Bite was a fantastic opportunity for the centre to showcase what dining delights it has to offer and once again treat our visitors to a free fun day out.”
