Quintain progresses London Designer Outlet

With prelettings and JV partner in place, Quintain is poised to start work at Wembley

Quintain has announced that it has pre-let 30 per cent of the 280,000-sq ft London Designer Outlet by net internal area and it has agreed heads of terms for a further 12 per cent of floor space.

Separately, Quintain has also agreed terms for a 50/50 joint venturewith a third party investor to develop and operate the London Designer Outlet, which forms part of Quintain's 6m-sq ft Wembley City development.

With two key elements now in place Quintain axpects to start work on siite within the next 12 months.

And in May 2011, the company secured a resolution to grant consent for a further 1.7m sq ft of mixed-use development at Wembley City. Chief executive Adrian Wyatt said: “Our plans will create a stunning new surrounding for Brent Council’s new Civic Centre and up to 1,300 homes centred on a one-acre public square as well as a new shopping street.”
