Cork’s Blackpool Retail Park signs Boots

Boots has taken approximately 1,000 sq m of space at Shipton Group’s Blackpool Retail Park in Cork at a rent of around €275 per sq m per year.
Boots has taken a 15-year lease and is due to open in May.
The retail park, which has 1,000 free car parking spaces, is located next to Blackpool shopping centre and Blackpool Business Centre. The retail park has recently welcomed Aldi, other tenants include Next Home, Maplin Electronics, Argos, Heatons, Lifestyle Sports, Atlantic Homecare DIY, a Gate Cinema and Costa Coffee.
Peter O’Meara, director at Savills Cork, says: "This strong retail letting is further evidence that Cork’s retail market is picking up. The opening of Boots further strengthens the tenant mix at Blackpool Retail Park making it an important retail destination and driving up footfall."
There are a number of smaller units available varying in size with the smallest being approximately 120 sq m
