Right royal knees-up at One New Change

Published:  26 April, 2011

London’s newest shopping centre, One New Change, is to host a live broadcast of the royal wedding at a pop-up tea room on Friday.

The centre has teamed up with Cafe Concerto to offer Londoners the chance to toast Kate and Wills’s nuptials in right royal style. The luxury pop-up tea room, open 9am to 6pm, will offer visitors the chance to feast on stately treats fit for the future King and Queen whilst watching the ceremony live on a 65” outdoor screen.

Cafe Concerto will be serving traditional afternoon teas from £13.50, consisting of classic cucumber sandwiches and handmade scones. Champagne afternoon teas will also be available for £19.50 for those who want to raise a glass to the newlyweds.

Guests will be treated like royalty as they’re waited on hand and foot and live music will also be on hand to help heighten the party mood.

There will also be an opportunity to support One New Change’s charitable partner, The Prince’s Trust.

This comes after the success of One New Change’s Easter activities.

Giant bunnies leapt through the City of London on Friday to kick off the Easter weekend - shoppers lucky enough to catch one of the bunnies mid-hop were in with a chance of bagging treats from Hotel Chocolat.

On Sunday, there was an array of free arts and craft activities, from making animal masks and spring flowers, to painting Easter eggs and face painting.

The first 200 children who took part were given a free gift from Gap Kids & Baby Gap.
