Corn Exchange calls for creative designs

Published:  26 April, 2011

Leeds Corn Exchange has launched a design competition to find a creative new logo for the boutique shopping centre, with the lucky winner bagging themselves an Apple iPad.

The winning design will also be used on to the Corn Exchange’s new bag for life and a flag, which will fly from the top of the Grade 1 Listed building.

Shoppers have until Friday 22 May to submit their designs via email after which a panel of experts will choose the winner. All entries will be showcased on the Leeds Corn Exchange Facebook page.

Centre manager, Louise Smith, said, “We want to champion creativity in Leeds as there is lots of it. We recently hosted Bettakultcha, a night of people presenting about their passions, which is another great example of the individuality Leeds has.

“The competition is a great opportunity for the people of Leeds to win some fantastic prizes and have their work flying on the flag of one of Leeds’ most iconic buildings.”

Leeds Corn Exchange has recently welcomed two new stores, iMale and Kiosk78, which both opened last week.
