Flora brings live cooking to malls

Published:  26 April, 2011

To launch its latest product, Flora Cuisine - an alternative to cooking oil with 45 per cent less saturated fat than olive oil – Flora is offering live cooking demonstrations and sampling to visitors at seven UK shopping centres.

The Flora stand has a fully operational kitchen area where cooking demonstrations – including frying, roasting and baking - take place. The other half of the stand is a children’s area where staff encourage children and their parents to decorate freshly made cakes and cookies. A nutritionist is also on hand to advise visitors about the benefits of healthy eating.

Meadowhall, Sheffield, and the Whitgift Centre in Croydon have already hosted the event. Flora will move on to promotional space at Manchester Arndale, Bullring, Birmingham, Brent Cross, Hendon, Touchwood, Solihull and thecentre:mk, Milton Keynes, between 26 May and the end of July.

The roadshows are taking place at weekends and during school holidays so that family groups can get involved in the activities.

The venues were booked through SpaceandPeople.
