Jamie’s Italian signs at thecentre:mk

Jamie’s Italian, the successful collection of restaurants created by Jamie Oliver and his mentor Gennaro Contaldo, has taken a 6,500 sq ft unit at thecentre:mk on a 25 year lease.
Jamie’s Italian will open in late summer in the centre’s Premium Quarter on Silbury Arcade next door to Wagamama and close to high end retailers like Kurt Geiger and Phase Eight, adding to the already impressive food offer at thecentre:mk.
Anthony Ross, asset manager at Cushman & Wakefield Investors and spokesperson for thecentre:mk’s joint owners, said: “The arrival of Jamie’s Italian at thecentre:mk complements our ongoing strategy of enhancing the centre’s food offer and encouraging people to make evening visits to the city centre.
“With last year’s £20m investment in the Destination Dining restaurant quarter, Jamie’s Italian comes hot on the heels of the arrivals of Carluccios, Nandos, Yo Sushi! and Café Rouge. This letting demonstrates, thecentre:mk’s diverse tenant mix and position as the pre-eminent regional shopping destination continuing to attract major brand names, to improve the retail and leisure experience for our customers.”
