High five for Trinity Walk line-up

In the run up to the opening of Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield on 6th May, retailers are busy signing up for the last few remaining units in the only new shopping centre due to open in the North of England this year.

The most recent tranche of deals has seen another five top names take space, all keen to be part of the line-up at the 500,000 sq ft shopping centre, which is being delivered by Sovereign Land, AREA Property Partners and Shepherd Construction.

Fashion retailers USC and Pulp, as well as natural beauty specialist The Body Shop, hairdresser Supercuts and Room 97 are the latest to sign up.

USC will occupy a two-storey 7,855 sq ft unit. Supercuts, 1,081 sq ft, Room 97, 2,115

sq ft, The Body Shop, 1,178 sq ft and music inspired fashion retailer Pulp, 1,550 sq ft.

The first of only three major new shopping centres set to open in the UK this year, Trinity Walk’s line-up now includes Debenhams, Sainsbury’s, Asda Living and Argos, plus fashion retailers H&M, New Look, Next, River Island, Peacocks, Topshop, Topman, Republic, JD, Bank, Dorothy Perkins and Burtons.

Others include shoe retailer Deichmann, Clintons, The Chinese Buffet, Pizza Express, The Entertainer, Costa, Bijou Brigitte, Esquires, Fragrance Shop, Carphone Warehouse, Orange, Menkind, Game and Brookfield.

Max La Frenais, leasing director at Sovereign Land, said: “These are excellent additions to the strong tenant list at Trinity Walk, which contains some of the UK’s biggest retail brands. Trinity Walk’s excellent retail offer will help reposition Wakefield as a dynamic Yorkshire shopping destination, and we look forward to a successful opening on 6 May”.
