US designer Eileen Fisher is to launch her brand in Europe with two London stores ahead of a wider roll-out
Eileen Fisher will open a 2,750-sq ft store at 4 Slingsbury Place in the Mercers’ Company’s St Martin's Courtyard development in Covent Garden, in the summer. The second store, on Marylebone High Street, will follow early this autumn.
The high end women's brand, founded by Eileen Fisher in 1984, offers simply designed modern clothing in exceptional fabrics that are both on trend and accessible to all generations. The company currently has 55 successful stores in 18 states in the U.S. and has continued to see strong growth in the sector.
Cushman & Wakefield advised Eileen Fisher and Duncan Gilliard, senior surveyor in the London retail team said: "With demand for prime retail property in central London being at an all-time high, these are very desirable stores. With future plans to expand throughout central London, Eileen Fisher is set to become a serious player in the upmarket womenswear market in the UK."
Karen Gray, Eileen Fisher’s director of stores said: "We look forward to joining the London community and serving our existing customer, who we know is already shopping our collection in the U.S. and to welcoming many new customers who we believe will resonate with our design values."
