Stelios hits the gym circuit this summer

EasyGym, the new fitness club concept from Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, will open in two shopping centres this summer after signing a deal with Virgin Active.
EasyGym will take on sites at Queensmere Observatory in Slough and the Mall Wood Green and already has other properties earmarked for 2011. The company aims to open ten clubs a year from 2012.
Serial entrepreneur Stelios has signed a licensing deal with private-equity backed Fore Fitness to develop the brand. He is confident that membership prices from £15 per month, flexible payment options, state-of-the-art equipment and qualified gym staff will bring great value and a consistent fitness experience to everyone.
Joint CEO Paul Lorimer-Wing said: “We’re ripping up the rule-book in the fitness sector by ensuring members pay for the stuff they use, not the stuff they never use. We’ve worked closely with some of the best brains in the business to develop a proposition which we are confident will make us a leading player in the European market in the coming years.”
