New youth zone at McArthurGlen Livingston

Published:  30 March, 2011

McArthurGlen’s Livingston Designer Outlet - Scotland’s largest designer outlet - has introduced for the first time a new cluster of youth and lifestyle brands.

With over 5.6 million annual visitors this new zone is set to significantly increase youth footfall over the next 12 months. Currently, 38 per cent of shopper footfall and spend, at the centre, is attributed to this growing youth market.

The new 13,500 sq ft zone saw the introduction of new brands Lacoste and FLY53 and the relocation of Fred Perry to join existing brands Ted Baker, Ben Sherman, Calvin Klein and Bench to create a new destination dedicated to brands with a shared youth identity.

Nick Brady, UK regional leasing manager at McArthurGlen says: “The creation of this cluster of youth brands provides us with the platform to really capture and sustain label conscious youth shoppers - 16 to 24 year olds. It will enable us to drive our strategy forward to draw in those shoppers from Edinburgh and Glasgow. We have recently experienced a steady rise in younger shoppers. However, with this new zone and alignment of youth brands, we hope to cement McArthurGlen’s Livingston as a must visit retail destination.”
