Stratford-on-Avon District Council has instructed Colliers to conduct a study of comparison goods shopping

The purpose of the study is to provide robust evidence and advice on the retail provision in the town during the period to 2028, and to assess whether additional retail floorspace will be needed.

The council’s planning policy manager, Stephanie Chettle, said: “As Stratford-upon-Avon changes between now and 2028, we need to ensure that we can adapt and meet the retail needs of our residents, visitors and workers.”

Dr Richard Doidge, head of research consultancy at Colliers International added: “Our report will provide the council with information and advice that will prove crucial to maintaining Stratford-upon-Avon’s success as a key retail centre and tourist destination.”
