Boots to trial drive-thru pharmacy

Published:  24 February, 2011

Boots is planning a new store featuring a drive-thru pharmacy at British Land's St James Retail Park in Northampton

Due to open May 2011, the 4,500-sq ft Boots drive–thru, adjacent to Bhs, is planning to initially offer a pharmacy drive thru service in addition to the regular products available in store.

This is the second drive-thru to open at St James Retail Park, Northampton, following the announcement of a 1,800-sq ft Starbucks, opening in early 2011.

Commenting on the latest additions, Simon Meacock, Asset Manager at British Land, said: “We are proud to be opening this new concept store with Boots, and feel that the drive-thru element will be very popular – allowing shoppers to visit St James Park at their own convenience.”

Morgan Williams acted for British Land and Montagu Evans represented Boots. Starbucks acted for themselves.
