LaSalle Investment Management creates new anchor unit at the High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Chelmsford for Primark
The store will be formed by extending the main anchor unit, formerly occupied by JJB Sports, from 37,000 sq ft to 61,000 sq ft. JJB is relocating to a new 12,create ft store created by the demolition of three existing units. Primark will be open in the autumn of 2012.
Steve Bateman of LaSalle Investment Management, said: "Securing Primark at High Chelmer cements its position as Chelmsford's primary fashion pitch and complements recent lettings to Topshop / Topman, Miss Selfridge, New Look, River Island, Republic, La Senza and Office. High Chelmer is a great example of getting the right mix of tenants and employing an active asset management strategy to maximize the returns for our investors and to Chelmsford Borough Council, the freeholder, with whom we enjoy a close working relationship."
LaSalle was advised by Cushman & Wakefield and BCL advised JJB.
