Houndshill boosted by two new retailers

Published:  24 January, 2011

The Houndshill shopping centre in Blackpool has just signed up two more tenants - Virgin Media and international fashion jeweller, Pandora

International jewellery store, Pandora, will trade from a 742 sq ft unit adjacent to Costa Coffee and is expected to open in February. Virgin Media has taken 539 sq ft unit opposite and has already opened.

David Lewis, director of the centre's asset manager, Centros, said: "Despite the very difficult economic conditions, we are delighted that the number of shoppers attracted to Houndshill increased by nearly a quarter of a million last year. Equally significantly, the number of cars using the centre's car park went up by 6.5 per cent - equating to nearly 100 extra cars a day. In addition to this positive news, we are pleased to be adding two new retailers that will further enhance the centre's overall attraction."

Jones Lang LaSalle is letting agent.
