Ivanhoe Cambridge has awarded Sutton Group FM the mechanical and engineering contract for Glasgow’s St. Enoch Centre.
The contract, which commenced on January 1 2011, will see a team of three resident engineers supported by Sutton Group FM’s local team of ten mobile engineers and specialist sub-contractors working on-site to provide the planned upgrades.
Colin Merryweather, managing director at Sutton Group FM, said: “Providing the mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance to St. Enoch Centre is not only a prestigious contract award for Sutton Group FM, but will provide greater visibility for our organisation in Scotland, to both promote our new brand, but also and more importantly, to deliver a first class service to our clients.
“In an industry where corporate organisations have in the past eclipsed the smaller companies, our aim at Sutton Group FM is to provide a national service standard, but with a local service delivery and with that personal touch.”
Susan Nicol, general manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “We are delighted to announce that Sutton Group FM have been awarded the M&E contract for the Centre and with their support we will continue to provide a first-class retail destination for shoppers.
“This has been a fantastic year for St. Enoch and our £150m transformation has been a huge success bringing increased value and choice to customers while boosting Glasgow’s position on the retail map.”
St. Enoch has recently undergone a £150m transformation which has seen the arrival of a host of well-known retailers to the centre, including Hamleys, Cult, Fossil and Fenchurch, resulting in record footfall levels and increased customer spending.
