Five more sign at Trinity Walk

As the 500,000-sq ft centre prepares for its Spring 2011 opening, five more retailers have signed at Trinity Walk in Wakefield

 

Sovereign Land, AREA Property Partners and Shepherd Construction have added another five new retailers to the tenant line up at the first of only three major new shopping centres set to open this year.

Deichmann, Clintons, Esquires, Bijou Brigitte and Costa are the most recent retail brands to join the tenant list that already includes a 96,000-sq ft Debenhams, a 117,000-sq ft Sainsbury’s, fashion retailers H&M, New Look, Next, River Island, Peacocks, Topshop, Topman, Republic, JD, Bank, Dorothy Perkins and Burtons, as well as Carphone Warehouse, Orange, Menkind, Game and others.

Clintons is taking a two-storey, 6,314-sq ft unit within the centre’s main shopping mall. Costa has signed up for a 1,331-sq ft, single-storey corner unit with outdoor seating opposite Debenhams, while Esquires has taken a single-storey, 1,160-sq ft unit with outdoor seating at the opposite end of the scheme, at the entrance facing the city’s new Market Hall. Shoe retailer, Deichmann has signed for a 6,608-sq ft unit and fashion accessory store, Bijou Brigitte, a 764-sq ft unit, both in the scheme’s Teall Street mall, which links the centre to the city’s existing high street.

Max La Frenais, leasing director at Sovereign Land, joint developer and development manager of Trinity Walk, said: “This is a great way to start the year. We have some exciting new tenants interested in the few remaining units and will continue to push forward with lettings as we lead up to opening this spring. This latest tranche of deals is a further endorsement of the development and is great news for both our scheme and the city.”

Letting agents for Trinity Walk are Lunson Mitchenall and Angermann Goddard & Loyd.

Agents acting on behalf of the new tenants are: Brasier Freeth for Clintons, Central Retail for Esquire’s, Fawley Watson Booth for Costa, Cushman Wakefield for Bijou Brigitte and Barker Proudlove for Deichmann.
