CameraWatch is the UK's leading CCTV advisory body dedicated to improving Data Protection Act (DPA) compliance and good practice amongst all CCTV stakeholder groups.
CameraWatch is an independent, not-for-profit, self-funding advisory body that supports the understanding of CCTV and compliance with current policy and legislation, to remove risks relating to data protection and other legal non-compliance.
Gordon Ferrie, CameraWatch CEO, is a recognised expert in banking security. He was Director-Fraud Squad and Deputy Head of CID operations at Strathclyde police and is a former world-wide head of security for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, responsible for the 5000+ retail branches of Royal Bank of Scotland, Nat West Bank, Ulster Bank & Citizens in the US. He is the CEO of CameraWatch in a volunteer capacity.
Paul Mackie, CameraWatch Compliance Director, is a recognised expert in the field of Data Protection Act compliance for CCTV systems. He comes from a 30-plus year background in IT with both international blue-chip companies and also national government. This included dealing with compliance and legalisation of industry software. Paul is currently working with a number of shopping centres across the UK helping to ensure the implementation of the Data Protection Act as it relates to CCTV compliance. He is Compliance Director of CCTV Compliance Ltd.
